Today, at work, I was fired from my job for being too "forward" to my boss. All I did was get him coffee and a biscuit from McDonald's to celebrate his 15-year anniversary working there. FML

that's not a valid reason for him to fire you.try and talk to someone higher up.

Talk to headquarters and tell them your situation. You shouldn't be fired for that! Good luck op

No good deed goes unpunished. I feel for ya!

I'd love for some one to show me this sort of kindness at work. I'm sorry he did not see it as such. Go to some one higher up OP I'm sure this is an invalid reason to fire some one. I hope it works out for you.

Were you wearing clothes at the time. If so he was a real a..hole.

It sounds like he was looking for an excuse to fire you. Sorry OP, hopefully you find an even better job opportunity!

We dont need to resort to that... If you want to hurt me just cut off my nipples, fry them till golden perfection, then eat them sunny side up and lightly salted

That was a pretty skanky move, OP. I wait till at least the third date before buying either coffee /or/ a biscuit. The first date is for light eye contact, and the second is for conversation using words beginning with letters from the first half of the alphabet. Considering you two weren't even dating, walking with two arms length between you is pretty risqué.

My knowledge only extends to dating etiquette.

I have no idea how I managed to hit the reply button to your comment (mobile version strikes again), I was planning on my original comment being separate But your reply made me laugh

and we still say we are in 21st century :))))

No, no, no. Every time somebody is fired for a stupid reason, we move back a century. It's fun, and the kids love it.

It's McDonald's...pretty sure if you've worked there for 15 years you survive on paint chips and regret :p

The pronoun at the end of the last sentence is misleading. "There" refers to the company they work at, not the McDonalds.

My apologies, as i was half asleep while writing the comment.
