Where do I get one of those?
I was thinking the same thing, lol!
This may have just been me, but I pictured one of those monster books from Harry Potter that tries to eat you when you open it wrong. Oh how I wish that actually existed.
Fail... Ydi she has a right to privacy maybe try talking to her
She has a RIGHT to privacy? And when someday YOUR daughter cones home pregnant when you've trusted her..... Maybe you will have changed your mind.
24 you're an idiot. Everyone has a right to privacy. Violate it and you can cause some serious trust issues.. Please use google and see what stems from trust issues.
24, I've already said this to you, but I don't care I'll say it again. The only thing that comes from snooping is your kids realizing they can't confide in you. Your kids see that " Oh mom/ dad doesn't trust me and she reads all my personal thoughts." Well your kid isn't gonna want to be around you, nor will they ever trust you.
24, You really think that going through your kids diary will stop them from doing bad things? If you read that they did something you don't agree with what will you do, keep them locked up? Breaking their trust just guarantees that they will never be open with you again.
You are scared of talking to a kid? Your kid? You should grow a spine. I think stem cells are legal now.
That's just horrible to do. You deserved it.
What the hell?! What's wrong with you?! That's her personal stuff!!! If you were my mother, I would dispise you. It's a good thing she had a secure diary. YDI, all the way, bitch.
YDI 100%. Parents who snoop on their kids sit and wonder why their kids never talk to them...maybe because you never give them the impression that you trust them? The only time it's justified for parents to read their kid's diary is if they really feel their kid is in danger, i.e. into hard drugs or whatnot.
I don't mean to alarm you op but that is not the way to do it. Instead of becoming closer she will probably want to keep her distance due to you not respect her privacy. She is going to be on the alert now so no more snooping.

If you were distant, shouldn't you, oh I don't know, try to talk to her instead of looking at her diary? YDI
Say hello to trust issues and an even greater distance..
