Oh & next time, try asking her whats on her mind!
When I read this it instantly reminded me of when I was little and watched Freaky Friday! Nooks bad mama!! Haha funny
bitch. respect privacy
Even though I am not a parent, and never will be, op went too far. I agree that a parent must be a parent and lay down the law and do their utmost to protect their child. But violating privacy and trust that has been EARNED is just paving the way for consequences that will be devastating to the parent/child relationship.
Did you see her shinigami when you touched the diary?
Don't worry, CallmeRyuzaki. I think the reason people are thumbing you down is because they don't get the reference.
Congratulate yourself on having such a clever daughter, OP.
Children have no expectations of privacy. Parents need a way to learn what their children are doing since children tend to lie about things. Especially if they did something wrong
I've known several kids who never lied to their parents...until their parents started snooping anyways. Once the trust was broken the kids saw no reason not to commit the crime since they were already receiving the punishment. Meanwhile, my parents have never snooped. Instead they do this crazy thing called talking to me. I can't remember the last time I lied to them.

If you were distant, shouldn't you, oh I don't know, try to talk to her instead of looking at her diary? YDI
Say hello to trust issues and an even greater distance..
