Today, for the first time, I told my girlfriend of two months that I love her. She broke down in laughter and mockingly asked, "What are you, some kind of queer?" I could've sworn she was mentally older than a 5-year-old when I asked her out. I guess not. FML

Mental age has nothing to do with it. Some people aren't ready to say something that meaningful after such a short period of time, and many other simply won't feel that way at that point. Maybe you're only mentally a five year old for not considering that.

I've lost a little bit more faith in our lovely land. There are DEFINITELY more intelligent females in NZ. I'm pretty sure I'm one, and I absolutely know quite a few others. Just... they're out there.
