Today, I accidentally bumped into another car on the road. The worst of the damage was a slight chip to the other driver's paint, but she played it up so much that she ended up being taken away in an ambulance. I'm now terrified that the crazy bitch is going to sue me. FML

Having been through a lawsuit for a car accident, let me just say that if she does try and sue you, it will be a waste of her time. My settlement took almost four years and it was settled outside of court. No lawyer would take her case. So you should be safe.

Why do you people always need to sue each other?

This reminds me of the time a guy ran an intersection light, and my mom's car t-boned it-- except her car was so much shorter than his that all it did was sort of slide part-way on the underside of the other guy's truck. Most of the damage done was to her car, but the guy came out screaming and ranting at her that he might have a neck injury. My mom, who teaches anatomy to PT students, asked him, "Well, do you have one or not?"

I was hit from behind and suffered a sprained wrist and a strained shoulder. My car, on the other hand, is a hoss and looked perfectly fine (aside from a slightly crumpled license plate, which isn't even technically the car). People can suffer damages even if their car can take a hit like a champ.

I was rear ended when traffic was stopped and she hit me so hard I smacked into the car that was in front of me. My car had a tiny crack on the rear bumper that's it, but their cars were damaged pretty bad. Damage is not an indication of how serious the accident was. I had a sore neck and headache all day after my accident. I didn't go to the dr or anything, but that was my choice. And whiplash can take years to cause problems too.

Your insurance will take care of it. Either way, your premium will go up due to the incident. Your insurance can also go after her for the money to pay for the ambulance and hospital if the damage is found to be to light to cause an injury. Usually, they just settle and pay
