Today, I agreed to lend my daughter's inflatable pool to my neighbor for the day. Barely an hour later, I witnessed his son jump off their balcony, missing the pool by inches. He's now in hospital, and my neighbor has sworn to sue me, saying I'm responsible because the pool is mine. FML

Counter sue him for the distress and trauma that you and your pool suffered from having to watch it.

Turn the tables and say he illegally stole your pool without permission.

How would the neighbor prove that the pool was ever yours? It's not like a car where there is paperwork that says you have some responsibility for it...

Frivilous lawsuits these days.

he can't sue you, it wasn't your fault in any way and there is no evidence he can sue..

He can sue but I would beat his ass, have a thug visit the son in thr hospital, I guarante his ass wont go to court. Then move cause you live in the ghetto.

preempt him by calling child protective Services

sounds like this neighbor is admitting he endangered a minor. which is quite a bummer these days in court.
