Today, I asked my mother if we could test me for OCD, since so many people have suggested to me that I might have it. She smiles at me and says, "No, honey, you're just really really weird." FML

I dunno, I don't think this really counts as an FYL or a YDI. It's just kinda like a.. I'm sorry? I mean, my mom calls me weird all the time. So what?

Uhh, my mom calls me weird too...? It's not really a bad thing. OP is too sensitive.

Being weird is a good thing. If your not weird, that means you are pretty much just another clone in life. Take me and my mom for example. If she said that to me, I would have said, "Thank you! Your really really weird to!", then we would start doing freaky dances around the kitchen or something :P

People can work their way out of OCD. Takes a little time, and a little resolve. I did it, and now there's no problem.

Hey, I'm weird too and have figured out I have Asperger's Syndrome, but am I asking my parents to get me tested? No.

How is it that half of you people think there is a test for OCD?

Okay... I don't see how this is so terrible. My mom thought I was lying about being a cutter for three years... I'm not OCD but I have some of the weirdest quirks.. and I must say.. just because your mother says you're really really weird.. doesnt mean much.. I get that on the regular... hell... I spent over twenty minutes... organizing.. and reorganzing the cleaners under the sink by name size dominant color and nozzle type and shape... All I got was a ... well at least youre cleaning something.. xD

I think maybe just the fact that her mother doesn't believe her is an FML... My Mom doesn't believe me when I say anything. :/

Well if she considers you really weird you might have OCD like you thought.

it sucks for teenagers who actually have these conditions (OCD, ADHD, bipolar disorder, depression, etc.) because there are SO many teens (especially girls) that lie about having them, just so they can get attention. so more than often, parents think that the child is lying just to be "unique" or so they can have problems. i've been diagnosed with depression (medically), but people don't think it's a big deal just because so many people claim to have it. but mental illnesses ARE a big deal and need to be helped. op: if you have done research and still think you have OCD, talk to your mom again. if you just have a strange personality that's different than everyone else, be quiet.

Hey samething happened to me yesterday but it was dad instead........
