Today, I asked my parents to sign for me to enlist in the military. They asked me how much money the government gives them if I die. FML

tell u the truth i didnt read all the comments to many to read. and some are long, but, they only get the money if you die if ur at war, like in iraq get exploded by a bomb. but if you are here, and u have a car wreck and die, well then ur just screwed cause thats not a "at combat death" i know my brother was in the army, or thats how it was when he was in it like couple years ago, never got called off to war, but he got killed in a car wreck.... and guess what??? we got no money!! and trust me, if your not in it 100% then its not for you, i know to many people that has gone AWOL, if ur just in it to get the enlisting bonus, then i would recommend it. or for it to pay for college dont do it or unless u just go Reserves, but not no full time active duty. the army is no joke. so dont play around with it like it is one. THANKS ALL FOR SUPPORTING OUR TROOPS, LETS ALL PRAY THEY GET TO ALL COME HOME SOON!!
