Today, I bleached my upper lip hair so it wouldn't be visible anymore. At school, for the first time, the guy I like came over to talk to me after class. Just as I thought he was about to ask me out, he told me how weird my "gold moustache" looks. FML

Except for a few sagacious and understanding people here, I'm surprised to see how benighted some folks are. Saying "I'm gonna assume you're dark because you're Indian" is like saying "I'm gonna assume you're fat because you're American." No we aren't all dark, some of us have extremely light skin tone and brown hair. Secondly, some of the airheads here can't seem to accept the fact that all women have body hair and a peach fuzz above your lips isn't a big deal. How would you have felt if we shamed you for having a hairy stomach or a hairy back and asked you to wax them regularly? If you can't accept us women as we are, don't expect us to accept you in your natural form as well.

Shave it every day or so, or wax it. You can also try Nair, but then you might end up with irritated looking skin. Laser treatment also works, but can be expensive. Up to you how you want to handle it.

why would you bleach it? shaving or waxing would be a much better approach. ydi

Don't shave it! It'll grow back so fast and it'll just be prickly and weird. Either go get it removed by laser rather than bleaching it next time, or pluck it out with tweezers. Laser is more expensive, but very quick (supposedly, if you do it enough times, it'll stick, but I never got that far); plucking obviously hurts more, but you'll save the money. I only have to do it every month or so (maybe a bit less), and if you laser it once beforehand, hopefully, you won't have a full bush grown back yet

Waxing it is also an option. Probably better than plucking it because you're still ripping out the roots so it'll be less likely to grow back faster (and, hopefully, stop growing back altogether after doing it for a while) but you get more in one go and just tweeze the strays.

Just wax, it's way less painful than plucking and also less noticeable than shaving!

Gotta wax it. Shaving will grow back too soon and will grow back darker and prickly. Sorry OP!

Sally Hansens Cream Hair Remover. It's lovely lol. If you're willing to bleach it then why not just remove it? Don't donut for others, don't for yourself. :)

Good for you, OP. Hair is hair, it's natural. I'm sorry the guy was a jerk!

My aunt shaved hers and they only came back more regularly (like every day regularly). The hairs came from fluff to black needles. So when I reached puberty I started bleaching mine, only to see it makes them more visible. So far the best solution I am using is wax. There are wax strips specifically made and sold for upper lips/facial hair. You need to rub them between your fingers until the warmth of your hands melts the wax, then separate them (there are two pieces waxed from inner sides), and use each one on the opposite sides of the upper lips, one by one. It takes about a minute to do it, and you're moustache free for at least 2 weeks.

Shave it, wax it, get it threaded off, there are plenty of ways to remove unwanted hair.

but common, he talked to you! at least that's where friendship can start
