Today, I borrowed my dad's laptop to type an essay. While I was saving it, I noticed some curious looking files and I opened them. They were rejection letters from all the colleges I had applied to. My dad had been forging them so he wouldn't have to pay for my tuition bills. FML

Asshole, he should of told you he couldn't afford them so you had time to get a job and to apply for some scholarships. Sorry that your dad is a coward and a selfish bastard (assuming he didn't just lost his job) but then he wouldn't have enough time to forge them. pre-meditated bastardness.

dick move! does he not want you to go to school and be successful?

Ugh that sucks!! I feel sorry for u, but I would be soo pissed if my dad did that! I'd confront him, definitely. Maybe theres a specific reason, other than he doesn't want to pay? Good luck w/that! : )

You might be wrong , did you comfront him about it ? Perhaps , he's just doing it so you don't leave home ?

wow. what an awful human being. kill him.

This seems a bit... extreme. Not saying this isn't true, just saying your dad is a bit extreme- and perhaps a bit too desperate. o.o

If he didn't want to pay your tuition he could've just told you instead of overdoing it by sending you fake rejection letters. Plus, he probably knew you'd find out sooner or later.o.o

re apply and pay for it yourself~~get a private mail box too

Seriously wrong.... and probably illegal in some areas.

As a parent it's your responsibility to keep your kid safe and healthy. Not to take out a second morgage to make them happy. Just because you grew up with money doesn't mean everyone did. This thread is about the jackass father who fabricated the rejection letters not whether or not he would pay for college.
