Ouch! I was DJ at party and went out for a drink for a few seconds. Someone turned the volume up fully on the computer I used for music. When I ran back, all of my amplifiers had glowing input clipping and peak LEDs on them. Now I always use a compressor/limiter for protection. DC voltages will burn speakers up really fast!
