Today, I brought a cupcake to school for my friend's birthday. After taking one bite, she exclaimed that it was the worst thing she had ever tasted and that we should sue the store that I bought it from. I baked it myself. FML

Today, I was at a barbecue. I picked up a piece of cake and began complaining to the man next to me about how horrible it tasted. "It tastes like a s***!" I said. His wife baked it. FML

Today, it was my friend's birthday, so I baked him a cake complete with his name written on it in homemade frosting. After I gave it to him, his mother berated me for it, saying I should have checked with her first before making a cake for her son. He's 28. FML

Today, my workplace often leaves out "expired" food from the café that our department coincides with, as it is wasteful to throw away perfectly fine cuisine. I soon discovered that the inside of a seemingly normal looking cupcake was actually filled with mold when I took a large mouthful of it. FML

Agree with #5. Even if my friend had bought the cupcakes and they were horrible, I'd still try to be nice about it for her having bought them for me.

First... I don't see any Asians with a dp in this post other than me. Secondly, I hear that a lot for first impression when people see my picture, I have not idea how it looks "emo". why not call it... "Honger hair" or... "Asian hair" & my eyes are to covered so I don't think I fit into the stereotypical "emo".

At first I wondered how you could possibly mess up a cupcake then I had a flashback to a horrifyingly awful cupcake that my daughter made. Here's a tip for next time, OP, don't bake it in a plastic box with a light bulb. That also explains the mystery of the solitary cupcake.
