Today, I brought home my 3D glasses after a movie. I had a laugh about it until I realized that I put my $100 sunglasses in the recycle box outside of the theatre instead. FML

Looks like you *reaches for sunglasses*...Aww

You must have gotten ripped off if you confused your sunglasses and the 3D glasses

YDI OP, $100 is a ridiculous amount to spend on sunglasses.

Captain's Log: Don't spend $100 on sunglasses that resemble $1.00 3D glasses.

You can call the theatre and I'm pretty sure if you explain the issue they'll let you go through it. Usually the recycle boxes are left there for a few days. Hope you get them back!

What idiot spends $100 on sunglasses? -_-

A lot of people, or they wouldn't make them.

Hey everyone! It was an IMAX movie where they reuse the glasses afterwards so I was able to go back and get them - happy ending! Also if anyone is interested, the movie was Captain America: The Winter Soldier and I was still mentally blown away by Bucky's scene after the credits so I wasn't paying much attention to such things as which pair of glasses I was tossing. (Also worth noting is this is the only pair of sunglasses I have ever owned and I've had them for 5 years so I'm thinking the $100 wasn't a waste of money or overpaying like some people seem to think lol). At least I can have a laugh about it and I got the glasses back! Thanks for the comments! -MunBRO

Glad you got your shades back!! To all the naysayers.. another good reason to spend that amount is because they're likely to last longer. My ten dollar gas station shades, while cute as a button, fell apart in a couple months.

I beg to differ. Granted, it is sometimes the case that cheap items don't last, but often nor do the expensive ones. Take iPhones for instance. The only real differences between the iPhone 5S and my Lumia 520 are than one has a fingerprint scanner and a front-facing camera, while the other survived a drop onto concrete from 2 storeys high, rather than shattering from a drop of less than two feet. Oh yeah, and the fact that the iPhone costs more than five times as much. In fairness though, you need to pay a bit of money for something that works. Something practically given away will never last.

I think there's a lot of people jealous of your $100 sunnies...

Good for you. What is the problem with paying $100 for sunglasses if you can afford it? People need to chill out and think about the things they themselves "waste" money on.

Call the theatre. You'll get them back.

Being a case for them next time. Sucks though.

I think it's crazy to spend that much money on sunglasses! I'm lucky if mine don't get lost or broken since I wear them every time it's sunny out, and sometimes even when it isn't because my eyes are sensitive.

sorry but maybe it's a hint that you should think about why you are buying $100 sunglasses in the first place..
