Today, I came home at noon from a long night out. I was surprised to see a woman I didn't recognize standing in my living room in a brown dress and heels. As I walked up to the door and knocked to be let in, the woman whipped around and I figured out who it was. My dad. FML

Those of you who are all up in arms about a guy being freaked out over walking in on that are the ones who need to chill. I'd be freaked out too, just because that's not how you want to find out something like that about your dad. If he'd told you and then you'd seen it, it'd be a lot different - I know, my dad's a nudist and was open about it before I ever saw it in action, so to speak, so that when I finally did, I didn't blink. But to walk in on it and find out that way is super-awkward. FYL, man.

It may be awkward, but hey- respect what your dad wants to do.

Well, it was awkward for you, but think about how embarrassed your dad must feel. He obviously wasn't expecting to get caught. I'm not gonna lie, I'd be freaked out too if I saw my dad cross dressing when I didn't expect it. Right now, the only thing you can really do is to keep an open mind and accept your father for who he is.

The only reason this is considered an FML is because our society still views crossdressing as extremely weird. It really should be considered a perfectly legitimate form of self-expression. I'm very sad that so many people say they wouldn't view their dad in the same way ever again and such simply because he enjoys donning female attire. Please try to embrace diversity people--it would be a much less colorful and wonderful world without it.

Hey it's your dad's choice to do that. I don't think that was too big of an FML.

Not everybody likes the same things. If you voted FML to this, you're intolerant.

see, and now you're being intolerant. i'm sure, with the percentages of people gay to straight or crossdresser to straightdresser or whatever some had to vote ylf. you're being intolerant of intolerance, and what does that say about you?

No one is asking you to dress that way. WTF? Yes, I'm intolerant of intolerance. You're not making any ******* sense, dude.

That we are smarter than you? Educated? Open minded? Accepting? Decent human beings?
