Of course it's disturbing coming home to find your Dad like that. I don't have a problem with cross dressers, but if I saw my own Dad like that, I'd be mortified. That's just not something you want or expect to see.
Does he look better as a dude or a chick?
The people commenting this need to stop with all the "New-age hippy, politically correct, and over-opinionated" responses. It is perfectly legitimate to be freaked out by this. Imagine being this guy's age (presumably somewhere between 16-21) and just finding out your father cross-dresses by accidentally walking in on him. You'd most likely be freaked out too, you're just too afraid, or full of yourselves to admit it. I'm an open-minded person, but when something like this hits home, it's a completely different thing.
I like how everyone on this FML is a saint saying, "I would never be ashamed if my father crossdressed" It happens on almost every FML as well "I would never make fun of somebody!" "I would never get off task while at work!" Quit acting all high and mighty you idiots, like you've never made fun of somebody before or gotten off task.
I agree that the people freaking out and saying cross-dressers should burn are a bunch of close-minded asshats. However, the OP has several times explained that this isn't how he views things, and he was apparently just awkward/disoriented/finding it wtf to come home to that scene. It is a surprise, after all. But it's good to know the OP isn't some closeminded freak who'd give his dad a hard time for such a simple thing. So stop trashing the OP, go trash the people who are actually saying bad things. lol
Good use of the term "asshat". That's an insult that people should be using more often.
thank you very much, moemoemoe. it's nice to see that someone else gets where i'm coming from. also your nick is fantastic.
