That reminds me of the time I had seafood chowder in a restaurant I'd never been to before. It tasted more tangy than usual, so I asked the waiter if it had sour cream in it. He said no, and I was like, oh well, it still tastes pretty good. Turns out it did have sour cream, as in the cream had gone sour. I had food poisoning for days after, and I've never been able to eat chowder again.
