Today, I came home to my wife crying. She had mixed up our newborn twin girls and couldn't tell which was which. I looked at the girls. Neither could I. FML

she should have taken anal! then there wouldn't be twins to mix up.

Hahahaha! That sucks! I'm a twin and I always wonder if this accidentally happened to us :)

The FML is that they are fraternal twins, one boy, and the other a girl. Their names are Leslie and Robin.

Apparently you did, haha (in reference to my comment below)

Yeah. I didn't see that till after. Sometimes when I have an idea, it takes too long to read through the hundredth comment before responding.

Did anyone stop to notice that OP never said if the babies were identical or not, of course we all assume that if they got mixed up that they are identical and that would be the reason they can't tell them apart, but who knows they could be fraternal and that would be hilarious! To everyone saying things like they won't care blah blah blah..ok they might care when they get older and they find out they aren't who they think they are. Find out who is who and then find some way to tell them apart, like a necklace or something.

This may take awhile: at the hospital they take prints of their feet for the parents to take home. Compare the prints to see who is who....unless twins also have identical finger and foot prints?

everyone has different prints. even twins. so comparing footprints is a win

Of course it matters. My nephews are almost 4 year old identical twins but if you show them a picture from when they were babies they can immediately tell who is who. If you just "guess" at this point you could really f-up those kids heads later in life
