Mrs Crabby cakes it's not " weird anime crap" it's technically a form of art. Maybe the girl will grow up to be a great manga artist. Instead try this new concept encourage your students, even if it's outside your comfort zone on traditional art. Oh and talk with her parents she's obviously got anger issues.

As a teacher you have the first and foremost duty of being respectful of the students in your class if you want to instill the same values in the kids. :s Judging from your criticism of their "uniqueness", it seems you are not a very open and accepting person. That being said, kids often get more rebellious if they feel absolutely no connection to their teacher. A note like that is the least of what you have to come to face if you wish to continue in your profession. If you can't handle it, or can't be more open-minded, then perhaps a teacher isn't the right path for you.

I remember when I was in school before my multimedia academy, that I always finished all my work super early and that I would start drawing. My teachers got upset at me even though I had no other work to do. They told me to do something 'intelligent'. One teacher went as far as taking my entire sketch book and shredding it in front of the class...

Weird anime crap my ass, it's the most popular form of art, anyone who reads comics or plays any kind of game uses anime (not the same kind of anime each time, mind you) I have the best grades in my class and I draw that "weird anime crap" all the time! So, you must be a horrible teacher, not encouraging your students.

First off, no, it's not. Do you have ANY idea how many art forms there actually are? Drawing or painting art alone has countless forms, and that's not including other forms (like dance, photography, scuplting, I could go on forever, it's still art). Secondly, comic drawing =/= anime. Anime is by origin a Japanese-disseminated animation style. Comics can be drawn using very different drawing styles. Is the comic in your newspaper drawn anime-style? Because mine is not... You'd think someone with 'good grades' would know that. Thirdly, that was completely besides the point. The student in question was very rude to do this, regardless of what she was drawing. Lastly, even teachers are allowed to have their own opinions. If she thinks anime is weird, she's allowed to say so. She said absolutely nothing about if it influences her ability to grade this student at all. /END RANT

I collected MY students' notes **** YOUR class All of these things were said in the fml. Students don't usually call their peers "my students." By the girl saying, "**** YOUR CLASS", it clearly shows OP was teaching that class. Context clues kiddies
