Today, I colored my hair. It was supposed to turn out blonde, but it became more a mix of red and brown and blonde patches. When I tried coloring everything back, a green tint was added. My hair is at the moment red, brown, blonde and green. FML

Are you sure you're not a natural blonde?

Actually, that sounds kind of cool-looking.

umm... this sounds awesome. be proud of it

this is why you don't mess with box color and you see a professional. think about hair color like painting walls. you can't just paint a light color over a dark one and vice versa without priming/filling. it's a lot more complex than you think. this is when i laugh at all the dumb asses that have to come into the salon and pay $300 for a color correction.

LOL!!!!!!!!! Oh no, that sucks! I would try to go back to the store & buy a more expensive box of hair dye. PUT a hat over ur head tho before u go out. Unless you want everyone to laugh at you at the store.

LOL what kinda cheap ass dye are you using

Learn how to do it right or stick with going to the professionals. YDI

Hun I do hair, You probably used box color... Which I can tell you.. WILL NOT BRING YOU BLONDE. the only thing that will is straight powder bleach and developer.. Your hair most likely did that due to contributing pigments in your hair and or under or overprocessing.. DONT WORRY. its a quick fix!! Go to any Salon and ask them to put a TONER, I would recommend an ULTA salon, and ask them to use a SHADES EQ toner. Your hair will be back to normal within 15-20 mins

that happened to me once. i liked it so much, i kept it that way. course, i got red, orange, blonde, brown, and white-blonde. there's nothing wrong with doing it yourself with bottles from the store, just make sure the bottles haven't been opened before and follow the directions as precisely as possible. i've been doing my own hair for years, at least five different colors (separately, of course), and now i've got burgundy and a white streak. it works, if you know what you're doing. professionals cost money and the last two times i tried to get my hair professionally colored, i payed like fifty bucks to get it screwed up. practice makes perfect!

YDI for being fake. Be happy with who u r and this shit won't happen.
