Today, I confided to my dad that since the recent breakup with my boyfriend of 3 months, I feel down all the time and life doesn't feel worth living anymore. His loving advice was for me to "grow the fuck up and get your sentimental head out of la-la land." FML

Today, I went to my father for advice. I've been seeing a wonderful girl for the past month, and I feel terrible about it, because I already have a girlfriend. He said "Kill yourself" and that if I "can't even do that right" then to get out of his house, because he disowns me. FML

Today, I was sitting in my room when my dad walked in to talk. He said I'm not the son he'd hoped for, and that he'd been let down as a father. He said I should change the way I am so that he could love me more. It was the longest conversation I've had with my dad in years. FML

it doesn't natter how young she is, being suicidal over a three month relationship is not justified. in any way. if a three month relationship ending sets someone off to the point of suicide there is a much bigger issue buried in there and it's not really the break up causing those feelings.

No THAT doesn't make her an attention *****, but saying she feels like life's not worth living definitely puts her in that direction. Not something you should go around saying to your parents everytime ***** got you down.
