Today, I corrected someone who spelled "learned" as "learnt" on my favorite forum. Nothing could've prepared me for the torrent of abuse that followed from the non-American members. Now I'm banned for "trolling," and all my 7,000+ posts since 2006 are gone forever. FML

You should have learnt how to spell first.

Really, it took you that long to realise the true coluors of the Internet?

My bad. I typed that on an IPhone and it took me several tries to get it to stop auto correcting. Guess I ended up miss spelling it in the end.

Who cares if they spelled it wrong. If I wanted to spend so much time checking for spelling mistakes on internet posts, I would become an elementary school teacher. The site was harsh on banning you, but talk to them, and maybe they let you back in.

Boom!! Ahahahah best response ever.

Well honestly why correct someone's spelling? What harm does it do you to read something that is spelt wrong? Especially when it's not really wrong, it's just that you're ignorant.

Pretty sure both are acceptable...though isn't learned actually the more American version anyways? Maybe you should at least google things before having a go at other people.

Oh my bad, you corrected to and not from the American spelling. My point still stands though.

Thats a shame all your posts gone! Now you have a chance to start fresh.. maybe learn different types of spelling and grammar just for the sake of not getting banned again.

Can't believe you didn't know learnt , where were you educated

Guilty as charged. That still bs thou

Poor you. Guess you learnt it the hard way
