Today, I couldn't get into my car. In an attempt to get in, I broke a window. As I climbed in, the actual owner of the car walked up. Mine was across the street. FML

Yes because breaking your own window definitely beats calling a locksmith or the police to jimmy the lock... I haven't used the word fucktard in years but you, OP, are the very definition...

Why would you smash your own car's window anyway?

idiot, how did you not think to look at the license plate before breaking a freaking window? YDI

Hopefully having to pay for the replacement, and getting a stern lecture from the cops while you sit at the precinct for hours and fill out paperwork (at the very, very, very least) will help kill some of the stupid cells in your brain. : Really? Even if the car looks identical, if your key normally works (I'm assuming you used one, as you didn't say you didn't, and you were having trouble getting in - sounds like you were using a key) and it suddenly doesn't, why on earth would you just decide to break a window? For one, check to make sure it really is your car; that's what any person with even the tiniest bit of intelligence would have done first. There is no way at all that this is a FYL. You completely and totally deserve it. F the poor owner's life for having to now deal with replacing the window and filing paperwork against you.

Oooomigosh! I think I would die! Hopefully, they have a sense of humor and good insurance!
