Why would you take an eleven year old to see a horror movie?
Why not? When I was that age I already watched horror movies and played horror games.
Yes, but the problem is, many children DO have nightmares and you won't know if it will affect them or not until after they've seen it. Some kids might be alright with it but many won't. There's also the matter of children who do see adult things, not because they're parents have assesses the material and deemed it okay for their child, but because the parents just don't care. That's why we have age ratings.
I completely agree! Most horror movies are rated R. No eleven year old should be seeing a rated R movie. I understand watching something a little bit scary if they don't get nightmares, but a full on horror movie? No way. Plus, horror movies now a days are pretty graphic & realistic, and usually about topics that you wouldn't want an eleven year old knowing about.
I say it depends on the child. I watched horror movies when I was 7-8 years old and had no problems. My mother told me I could watch them but if I had nightmares it had to stop. No nightmares, so I watched them frequently. My brother is 14 now and he is still not allowed to watch horror movies because he has nightmares and will wake up the entire house crying. Its all in the person and how well they handle certain situations
I was forced to watch scary movies as a child with my step family and they traumatized me. I had nightmares for years. As an adult, I enjoy a good paranormal movie every now and again, but at 8? No.
What was the horror movie? Twilight?
Exactly what movie was it? I wish I could actually see a horror movie that made me cry. Out of fear! Not laughter...
Horror movies aren't cool at all, coolness is all about attitude.
A funny memory for you two to remember when you're older :)
What movie could possible be that scary?
What did you see?
well it happens in his heart and eyes you'll always be the coolgl aunt
Maybe because the kid was fine.
