Well look at it this way: at least you have cool accepting parents that would be okay with it if you *were* gay, which I'm sure is more than a lot of people who actually are gay have. Besides, unless you know for sure how they interpreted "very special guest" I wouldn't worry about it.
I understand how you feel about your parents thinking you were gay. But I think that's a lot better than than what some people have to go through just because they are gay. Like their parents disowning them and things. It's a good thing your parents are accepting.
To me, this all sounds like Bo Burnhams song My Whole Family.
i agree with #1
You're lucky to have open minded parents, then!
#15 I was gonna post that video! Hahaha so brilliant - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LZoO8LyizLA And everyone who thinks he's "acting gay" - there's no such thing as acting gay - there's feminine and masculine which plays into gender roles, not sexual preference. It's just stereotype that gay men are very feminine and lesbians are butch. Can you tell the influence my Psychology of Gender class had? lol And no offense, but I definitely think that sucks. What was your girlfriends response?!
Probably "BUUUUUUUUUUUUURRRRRRRRRNNNNNNNNNNNNNN!" If not, she's probably just not that awesome to begin with.

what if they just thought it was a good friend...
I see your point... I've had male friends over for dinner and I am definitely not gay. And OP, besides, consider yourself lucky! If you ever decided to become gay (haha or even bi) at least you know your parents are accepting!
