Today, I decided to snack on some MandM's. I saw my dog sniffing something and realized one of my MandM's had fallen on the floor. To prevent my dog from eating the chocolate, I hurriedly snatched the MandM off the ground and ate it. When I bit down, I realized it wasn't an MandM. It was a dead beetle. FML

snatching it off the floor so your dog doesn't eat it....good. Popping it in your mouth before looking at it....not so good.

And the worst part? A dog wouldn't get sick from a single M&M.

Last time I checked, beetles weren't round and colorful with an M imprinted on them.. Not even a ladybug is close. Fail.

... Aren't M&Ms usually ... brightly coloured? And .. they don't feel like a beetle at all. Ew. You definitely deserved that... Look at what you pick up off the floor next time.

HAHA lol that sucks ass.... oh well pay attention to what you pick up off the floor...

for people that think chocolate does not affect the dog. well in this case it wouldn't. chocolate, like caffeine, contains xanthine, which is toxic to dog. good news is you need a lot of it to kill a dog or the right kind. it takes about 100-150mg/kg for a dog to have some side affects, i.e diarrhea. milk chocolate contains 44mg/oz, semi-sweet 150mg/oz, bakers 390mg/oz of xanthine. pretty what does this mean. if you give a 15lbs dog 2 oz of milk chocolate it probably just have digestive problems. if you give 2oz of baker's to it then you pretty much just killed your dog. well, you can induce vomit and give him charcoal to absorb the amount. so the m&m wouldn't do anything to your dog but give it diarrhea the next day. just make sure your dog have access to water since diarrhea makes them dehydrated.

ONE M&M isn't going to do shit to your dog. Not even a dark chocolate M&M.
