Today, I decided to take a peek in my fiancé's vow book to see how far he's got. The only thing in there was the lyrics to a song from the movie Shrek. FML

Maybe it was a prank on you because he knew you would peek...he hid the real vows from you.

Well, look on the bright side. Maybe your wedding vows will have a surprise Shrek-inspired serenade from your lovely fiancé? How sweet of him.

Maybe it's just hard for him to come up with things to write. There's still time. Don't worry about it. (:

He may have written down the lyrics to the same song you were going to use, but look on the bright side, theres like 28373929 Shrek movies now. More songs to choose from :P

If it's True Love's First Kiss then he is okay.

Let me guess. You want some sort of heart felt girly crap and if you don't get it you will make his life hell. You are going to be a horrible wife if this is what you view as important.

Well, it is important. It's one of the biggest days of her life. Of course she wants it to be perfect. Also, he probably won't get laid if he screws up.

Anyone else feel bad for Jessica's potential mate?

She cares even more about the wedding than I do...

You've got to think she knew he wasn't the type before this anyway. Also that's kind of a bitchy thing to do. If he had written anything in there the op seems the type that would have criticized it anyway and managed to ruin the surprise of what he felt expressed his love for her. The Op should probably work on the trust part of the marriage before freaking out about the vows.

#38 I agree with you. You know she was checking up on him because she wants to control yet another part of his life. For the record women, you would freak out if a guy was doing this crap to you all the time. If you don't trust him then let the preacher deal with the vowels part. That's his job anyway.

What pisses me off Dumb young girls do not know life They make dumb comments

Yeah, it is HER day and he doesn't mean shit when it comes to what she wants, right~

Oh, no, we get you. Why do you think there are so many mail-order bride companies? Why do you think so many men marry foreign women? It is because we get you and we really don't like you because you are selfish, overly critical, don't know how to communicate, use sex as a weapon, and treat all men like they owe you something.

@96 Girls shouldn't care if the wedding is perfect. It's just one day. If the flowers don't turn out or someone stumbles coming up the aisle, it will not make a big difference in the grand scheme of things. What matters is building a good marriage. And throwing a hissy fit and making everyone miserable because you're "it's all about me" party wasn't 100% perfect is not an auspicious start. For the record, I'm a married woman, and I got a flat tire on the way to my wedding 7 years ago, and it didn't ruin my day.

84- women are crazy and manipulative, but guys have their faults too. I sincerely believe that men use women's bitchiness to excuse their own faults. Also, I didn't even know that mail-order bride companies still existed, but if they do then they are irrelevant to your argument that all men hate all women. If a man hated all women, it won't make a difference if he marries a woman locally or has a bride shipped in. Women are going to bitch no matter what.

I didn't want to have to write all that heart-felt crap to read in front of everyone, never mind makin my husband do it! We opted for traditional, repeat after me vows. I cared about my dress and my husband. The rest of the wedding was just to make everyone else happy! I didn't care at all how anything turned out as long as we got married :)

82- No, but if she wants a perfect wedding, then he should do his best to make it happen. Of course she'd still be happy if everything isn't perfect, but it'd make her a little happier if it is the way she wants it to be. And if it was me, then I would wanna make her happy. And I didn't say I use sex as a weapon, but a lot of women do. I don't know if op is one of those women though.

He thinks of you as the beautiful-human-version of Fiona ;)
