MissDQ tells us more.
I've been dying my hair since I was 14, so know what I'm doing. I just now live in a tiny house with a tiny bathroom and my hair is just shy of my butt. I usually use a mirror to make sure I'm ok, but because of the length of my hair I have to do it upside down over the bathtub. It got on my arms while doing the main body of my hair, ears and forehead are a no brainier and I had a couple of spots drip down the gloves while I was doing the ends. I managed to get it off my face thankfully because I had to go out in public. The box said to use a wet towel with shampoo on it when you rinse it out, which I did and it didn't seem to be working so I attacked my face with exfoliating gloves and it did the job. I've now got to work out how to scrub the purple off the vanity and in the bathtub. I do wipe it straight away but it stains right away too. It's a super dark mahogany since I have to use 2 bottles. Looks blackish in the shade and red in the sun. Came out far better than I expected and I've never gone dark before so it's a nice change. Adds to the 'new me' thing I've got going.

Pro tip: Vaseline= Best friend when you're dying hair. Put it on forehead, ears, and all other skin dye will come in contact with. Wash it off with the dye and bam, no dyed skin.
While not the most pleasant, cigarette ash works like a dream. A damp rag dipped in ash gets it off pretty easy. If you know a smoker. A trick my mom learned while working in a salon back when everyone smoked everywhere. Have had to use it a few times myself. Next time, remember that they pack gloves in for a reason and put Vaseline on your ears and hairline where the dye may get on your skin.
Wear protective clothing next time
It sounds a little weird, but the thing that works best for me (and I use super intense pink splat which stains worse than regular haircolor) is Dawn power clean. Rub it on the dyed skin, let it set for a few minutes, and then wash it off. you may want to use a washcloth for the particularly stubborn spots, but its a much better option than using abrasives or harsh chemicals. I have really sensitive skin and it doesn't bother it at all. I keep a bottle of this stuff with me when I dye my hair and use it to get rid of any dye that gets past the vaseline line as well as for cleaning arms, wrists, and shoulders after rinsing out the dye (long hair can get messy). works like a charm. :) edit: be careful not to get any of the soap on your hair. It can pull out the dye.
But why ? They have body paint for that
yall dumb she dumb for that deserves no sympathy
Did it happen while you were washing it out? or did you just put it everywhere?

Why is your hair shy of your butt? They both belong to the same girl, so the social awkwardness is unnecessary.
You're supposed to put the dye in your hair, not use it as bubble bath. I would ask if you were blonde, but that's a stupid stereotype. And I think it's a moot point now anyway.
