This is definitely a YDI. If you had simply rejected her when she'd first asked you out, or called and canceled, then it wouldn't be too much of a problem. What you did was awful and turned the awkwardness up to 11. Standing somebody up is one of the worst things anybody of either gender can do. If you want to enjoy this dream job you will need to apologize to her, like right away. A simple "sorry" won't cut it; you need to tell her that what you did was wrong, and that she deserved better.
