Today, I financed my first car. I also made my first call to AAA when it broke down. It barely had any miles on it and I wasn't even home yet. FML

I think I would be calling the seller back.

I don't have anything witty for this. Contact the seller, and figure out what the issue is, if they are a decent human being they'll help you out at the very least

My dad bought a truck from a dealer and found out it was a lemon. Entire chassis was rusted solid. Best advice is to return it, refuse to give it back, get a lawyer and bring your mechanic to inspect the next vehicle your looking into

I thought they stopped making the AMC Pacer years ago?

Wow! I had to make an account to post the follow up. Thanks for all the support and some funny comments! It was a 2015 Jeep Renegade. The people at the car dealership were actually really cool and ended up getting me a replacement car the next day (today). Breaking down on the freeway after driving off the new car lot was way more stress than I needed but it will be a hilarious story one day. For the record, the new/replacement Jeep managed to make it home. :)

Good to hear that it was just a fluke and the people at dealership were cool about everything. Good luck with your new car.

Also, yes the car was brand new never owned. It had 67 miles on it when it broke down.

Bring it back and demand they pay everything in the fix bill or exchange for another

Unless Ford own Jeep then no. *points to the OP's follow up at #44

I'm not sure how it is where you are, but consumer protection laws usually include a reasonable expectation that the product will be as described and in working order when sold. Breaking down so soon is clearly due to a problem pre-sale, so you may be able to claim money back even without a warranty.

The seller should be able to help you OP. contact them
