YDI for not working out payment terms in advance.
Hack the website that you created for him or put a virus in it so the computer comes alive and kills the human race except for you
Dude, you got to take it easy on whatever you're smoking.
Boners life lesson of the day: You should help people and do nice things because you're a nice person, not because you expect something in return. That is all.
While that is generally true, the OP had been "working on it for ages", which kind of implies he expected compensation. Non-technical people tend to think creating a web site is as easy as imagining it, as opposed to real work. Should have worked out compensation in advance.
If he'd been working on it for ages he probably should have discussed with his friend what the terms of the work was to be.
edit: double post
Could have paid in "I Owe You's"!
I rather you learn it from the Chinese.
Who's to say that his friend isn't Chinese?.. Very possible in Australia.
I wasn't aware about where he is from. But table tennis instructors from china are more reliable.
If you do such a big thing for your friend, maybe you should've been clear on the terms beforehand. If you expect payment, either in terms of favours or money, discuss it before you start the project - otherwise you have to assume it's a friendly favour that doesn't require any concrete payment. Hell, unless your friend stated that the tennis game was his way of repaying you, I'd have guessed he just figured playing tennis with you would be a nice way to hang out as friends, unrelated to the website.

YDI for not setting terms before starting the project. How does it feel to be used?
Getting table tennis advice from a pro is priceless...
