It is possible that OP does not normally live with his or her mother. They could live at college and go to the doctor all by themselves like a grown-up. And if the OP doesn't live with their parents or even if they do, patient-doctor confidentiality protocols would ensure that the mum wouldn't find out that the OP had an infection or illness, especially if the OP paid for the meds themselves. People do have a right to privacy, and OP's mum just violated that. FYL.
1- There is no mention of a kitchen anywhere 2- The medicine could have been kept ANYWHERE in the house 3 - Even if it wasn't kept in bathroom, chances are the mother has legs and walked over to the bathroom 4 - You're the biggest dumbass on this website, please light yourself on fire
well.... why weren't you doing drugs?
I took it to mean that mom was visiting OP's house, or that OP's mom was visiting their house. I've looked through peoples bathrooms before (usually looking for a tylenol or a tampon) and I've also left my prescription's on my mothers bathroom counter when I've gone home for a few days. Is it that unreasonable to think OP lives alone?
C'mon, perdix, where are you?
You can't just assume they live with their parents. There are multiple possibilities for why the mother didn't know about the medication and still found them and tossed them, not just that OP must live at home and is doing drugs.
id wager it was antidepressants, older generation often doesnt understand them, most insurance companies will do anything to wiggle out of paying for them so they're usually expensive. birth control however comes in a bubble pack ususally, and is relatively cheap. that said, your mom is presumptive and controlling. fyl indeed
Your mother is even stupider for flushing them down the toilet. Way to contaminate the water supply, old hag.
hey ginger u do realize that if it was birth control pills, the hormones are excreted in urine anyway right? so they get in to the water supply whether someone flushes the pills or uses the bayhroom

Wouldnt your mom know if you are on medication?
May I ask why your mom would throw out your meds without asking you first? Unless they are drugs hidden in Rx bottles in which case your mom just pwned your ass.
