Today, I found out that I'm failing this semester because I've missed too many classes. I've missed the classes because I've been having panic attacks, a symptom of my anxiety disorder. I got the anxiety disorder because I was so afraid of failing school. FML

Smoke some weed. That will help with the anxiety. Also, realise that there is more to life then good grades. They help sure but they are not the be all and end all. And life really begins after you finish school. Not during.

Speak with your school's disability services. I've had the same thing happen to me before, and it ish totally not cool.

omg i can totally relate. i get the worst anxiety attacks over the dumbest shit.

That really sucks, I'm sorry. I know exactly how you feel, too. My life almost fell apart because of anxiety (which, to all the morons saying it's nothing, must have never HAD IT. Jerkoffs.), and I still have issues with it. There are so many options for easing anxiety, and a lot of people are right to mention those options. Not everything works for everyone, though. I hope you find something that works :)

I'd talk with your school's councelor or special education teacher about seeing if you could recieve a 504 Plan. They are basically a document that states that: A. You do have a dissability that puts you at a disadvantage to other people and B. Outlines a plan for you personally. (EG I have a friend who is epileptic. She misses a lot of school due to seizures and migrains. She doesn't have the absense policy hurt her if she is absent due to her illness, and gets extended time for assignments and what not.) For anxiety issues, normally students can get extra time on tests, extra time on assignments and things along those lines. Here's a pretty basic explanation http://specialchildren.about.com/od/504s/f/504faq1.htm. Hope it helps.

Same exact thing happened to me... I'm terrified, my anxiety is slowly getting worse, I'm scaring myself

I'm so sorry to hear that. Have you considered cognitive behavioral therapy? it is very helpful with anxiety disorders, and sometimes better than taking meds alone.

Holy shit, apparently nobody went to health class here. Weed is the leading cause of panic attacks. Good job, people. Anyway, my condolences to the original poster.

I'm sorry, I also suffer from anxiety. I started taking Paxil years ago, and it really has changed my life for the better- I can now leave the house without worry. Get some help, it will be the best thing you ever did for yourself.
