Today, I found out that I'm pregnant and sent a picture of the positive test to my boyfriend. Before I got a text back from him, I saw his newly updated Facebook status, which read, "This has got to be the most depressing day of my life." FML

I hate how important conversations have been reduced to a text message...

I'm sorry. Does ANYONE get married before getting knocked up any more?

57- I dont think telling the child they were an accident would be a great idea

News like that you give in person, in private. Doing it the way you did, what did you expect?

Why the hell would you share such huge news by text??

This is a prime exams of why you never friend your significant other on Facebook. You always read or see something you wish you hadn't.

#77 I meant example not exams. Damned auto correct!

I'd say a pregnancy is something that should be discussed face to face... Or at least with a phone call. But a text??

YDI for 1) not discussing your intentions regarding a BC failure as soon as, if not before, you became intimate and 2) telling him by text picture! Seriously, if I found out about a life-changing event in a cutesy manner, I'd be beyond depressed and onto suicidal.

If you guys were actually trying for a baby, I think that's quite a cute way to tell him. If it was unplanned, not so much. It's shit of him to do that though.

lol well the guy is right for being depressed because he'll have to deal with dirty diapers and all but still you both are the ones to blame so YDI

This is the kind of thing you tell someone face-to-face, not via text message. If the pregnancy was unplanned then I can understand why he would be upset about it, especially if the two of you are young, because a baby is a life time commitment and many people are simply not ready for that. However, I am not condoning his actions. Complaining about it on Facebook was a pretty dick thing to do.
