You know you can probably find another dentist to do it? You literally will not be able to do your work training after so I recommend you find another dentist to book another time.
qqqqqqqq we're not qqqqqqqqqqqq we aaq cm he's 2 SHO xq.
wow lucky i couldnt afford a root canal and had to get it removed as it was the cheaper option.(but still FYL)
Hi, OP here thanks for a lot of the supportive comments :) Unfortunately I can't rearrange the appointment for when I come back as I'll be away for around a month and I've been told if I wait that long the tooth will likely be pulled rather than making any attempts to save it. Also the dentist seems ok with me flying on the same day so hopefully it'll all be fine and I'm freaking out over nothing.
Hi OP - if there is any possible way you can get the procedure sooner, please pursue it. Perhaps another dentist? Putting it off is not a option; the pain without it will be excruciating, as the tiny pockets of air inside the decayed tooth expand and contract. I know you can't put it off for a month, but I mean if you were to fly and get the root canal when you arrive at your destination. I really, truly hope you find a solution, and good luck with the new job! If you MUST fly that day, make sure you get prescription pain meds. NOT Tylenol 3, you need narcotics. Hydrocodone. Best wishes!
I'm suuuuper phobic of dentists and I had to have a root canal. It definitely was not fun but the amount of pain I was in gave me no choice so I just focused on how much better I'd feel when it was over. Also, do not be afraid to speak up if you feel anything! They had to give me a couple shots of Nova Caine in my gums and once that was numb they did one directly inside the cavity in the tooth and gave it time to take effect before they started. (My dentist had already done some drilling and took out some of the tooth). I felt nothing the whole procedure and didn't even really need pain meds after! I haven't gone back for the crown due to my phobia though.

It's the perfect day to go skydiving, and get a pet tarantula. All while being in the dark of course.
Well, we have your "pretty sure" verses the OP's explicit statement that she can't get out of it. Who will win this epic battle?!
