There are SO many things wrong with this post, OP. 1. Cigarette ashes and black pepper look nothing alike. You must have some sort of visual impairment. 2. Since when does black pepper EVER just sit in a tray? Ashes do, but pepper usually doesn't. 3. Why in the world would you taste it to figure out what it was? You have other senses- use them! People generally stop using their mouths to understand the world sometime during late infancy. 4. Even if it was black pepper, why would you taste it? Generally pepper is not something you'd eat plain anyway, so why does it matter which substance it was? Either way, it wouldn't be something you eat. The intelligence levels of some people scare me.

This my friend, is an example of Kant's notion of synthetic a priori knowledge. It is not true in it self (that is, the proposition does not contain the premise), but it is true before experience; you should have logically deduced that it was a bad idea to stick that shit in your mouth before experiencing it!

Uh 1) Why would black pepper be in a dish? 2) Why would you just randomly taste something without asking? Either way you need to use that brain more.
