The word usage of "vice-versa" throws people off I think. They either assume your parents were incest, or that your mother cheated with your father's brother and passed you off as your father's child when in reality, you were the brother's child (thus making your "uncle" your father and your "father" your uncle). I'm assuming the latter is correct, or there would be no need for the use of "vice-versa" but judging by the comments, that's throwing everyone off.
