Well, I guess it's easy to get calamaris or squid rings confused with onion rings , as they both have a distinct smell.... #sarcastic

I'm no expert but if you've been eating rounded deep friend rings of onions called onion rings till the age of 36 and whether you thought that the name was given Sarcastically or because it was some sort of a round onion-y sea weed that looks like calamari and still after this mental exercise you didn't look it up or ask someone.....

Only in Texas people think onion rings are seafood and the U.S government is conspiring to invade their state. Why would a government invate it's own territories!

over a political split of opinion involving federal representation and congress ability to overrule the wishes of its occupants. Texas still maintains a constitutional right to succession and I imagine that worries the powers standing. no idea on the onion thing, but we have idiots in CA also so it might not just be a Texas thing.
