I was always taught not to put something in writing I wouldn't be comfortable with everyone seeing. When texting came around, I took that lesson to heart. While t any age, it is an invasion of privacy, sometimes when we are younger, that's how our parents look out for us if we aren't open with them. I had much more privacy then my sister growing up, since I got into a lot less trouble. Some parents are over protective and take things too far. Others have been given reason to "snoop" by past actions.
Wouldn't that make you even less likely to be open with then though? I got into a lot of trouble as a teen, knowing my parents were snooping just made me even better at hiding. Now a days though, since I moved out I have gotten much closer to my parents. I suppose is all depends on circumstance.
Turning that off won't effect text messages. It's logging into the same account that feeds the texts to both devices. A password change would fix the problem though.
How do you even turn photo stream off
OP, your mom is being over protective and noisy. C'mon she should have some trust in you. Unless of course you've given her reasons not to.
Looks like your mom took keeping a close eye on their kids literally

Show it anywayI'm giving you a high five right now. You just don't know it.
she wouldnt have linked to it if she didnt have time for it
Just start walking in on her when she is doing something that she prefers you not to see, like taking a dump and just tell her that privacy is a thing of the past then mention her reading your texts.
yeah, sounds like an overprotective mom. Or maybe simply a snoop mom? I'm sorry but this screams invasion of privacy to me big time. Hey OP, is your mom reading your FMLs too? in which case: hello op's mom, there is a fine line between being overprotective and being in someone else's business. Guess which one you qualify for? As for the OP - you might wanna start calling ppl instead of txting. and no, sexting will definitely not make her back off. Depending on what age you are, I am actually guessing that is why she did what she did

start sending some texts that will freak her out.
Invasion of privacy, in my opinion.
