Today, I found out that the daily "vitamins" that my dad has been giving me for the last three months were actually weight loss pills. FML

To everyone saying "at least he is trying to help, he is looking out for you" and stuff like that...how would YOU like to find out that you have been deceived by someone you should be able to trust, and then being told you should be thankful that he is trying to help? Come on. Think about it. I doubt you would really like people saying that to you. OP, if you are under age and in school (or even in university) you should go see a councillor and tell them what is going on, so you can find the best way to deal with this.

I think ppl are saying this bc they doubt the father was doing it to be cruel I know benefit of the doubt but still I am not saying I wouldn't be mad but once I cooled down and spoke to him to get the reason I think I could see it was coming from a good place he made a bad choice with good intentions parents aren't perfect they are human too

Deliberately sneaking diet pills into another person's body is NOT a case of "oops, we're all human." It's unacceptable deceptive (and potentially dangerous) behavior.

He was trying to be discreet. Would you prefer that he told you 3 months ago that you were a fat pig and forced you to take the pills? I doubt they really worked because most diet pills are frauds and only work on the placebo effect.

He should have told you what they were considering some weight loss pill can be dangerous and do more harm then good. Teach him a lesson and give him a good ol' dose of exlax. While his ass is exploding, he'll have time to think of a good apology lol
