Today, I found out that the little arrow next to my gas gauge actually points to the side of the car where the tank is. For the past year-and-a-half I've been sticking my head out the window and even calling my parents to ask which side it was on, because I can never remember. FML

Why do you need to call your parents when you could get out of the car and check for yourself? C'mon, it's not that hard.

You should know what side it's on after your first week with the car

Don't use your cell phone at the pump! The signal will ignite the fumes! Have you learned nothing from the terrible "Cell Phone Fume Ignition of '06"!?

Why didn't you just put a post it on your dashboard? That must have been really annoying to your parents to have to keep telling you which side it's on.

You know you're not supposed to use your mobile near the fuel bowser. And how can you not remember something so simple lol.

you probably don't even remember to use your signal when turning or switching lanes either, do you? Good god, you're one of those people, aren't you?? You know, the type that once you get in a car, you lose all common sense.

Does that mean OP is from Massachusetts?

Just in case you forget, Gas is on the right, brake is on the left. If you are driving a manual the brake is in the middle.

Or you could pop it while still in the car. Logic too hard.

I never knew it meant that. I thought it meant that where it points is were the 'get gas' light turns on.
