Um, I "graduated" from a tiny, unaccredited "highschool" but still got into college.
I was homeschooled from pre-school through senior year. Now I am a Junior at Purdue University and am in the most prestigious Veterinary School in the United States. Whoever told you you can’t go to college does not know what they are talking about. All you need to do is make your transcripts, take the SAT or ACTs and apply!
ouch!
You can try to catch up with Florida virtual school. From a School Counselor in a Florida county: "That's absolutely possible. If a student comes to us from a non-accredited school, we provisionally place them in the next class based on those credits (ie- if they took English II, we place English III, etc.) The student has 90 days to show us that they can do the work. If at the end of the 90 days the student is performing at a C or better, then we accept the credits on the basis that it appears as though they have learned the content. If the student is making a D or an F, we place them back in the 9th grade and do not accept the credits on the basis that they did not learn whatever the school is trying to tell us that they did. This is most common with homeschool students though."
It's most common with students that are homeschooled because that's the most popular unaccredited school - statistics, you fail at them. You should also find an article about what ******* retards public schooled students are and what their drop out rate is.
damn dude... home school sucks ... im sorry, i was home schooled and was able to skip 8th grade and missed formal and all that shit... but damn, u have to deal with all those anoying ass freshman n shit... but :D theres some hot ass seniors and when your 21 and a jr you can buy booze! and nobody cant... more power to you .... lol jk
So you were able to skip eighth grade but you missed formal therefore homeschooling sucks? You are an idiot and it's people like you that give homeschooling a bad name. Go back and try again.
And this is why you skip the public school system's bullshit and just get your GED, depending on what you want to do in life, it works just as good. =]
I'm agreeing with everyone who says 'Get your GED.' I was homeschooled and got mine, and now I'm a senior in college. It will vary by state, but in Kentucky, you normally have to be 19 to take the GED exam, but exceptions are made for homeschooled students so that they can have a document as good as a high school diploma. There was even a graduation ceremony for GED recipients here, and I got to wear a cap and gown and walk with people ranging in age from 17 to 65, which was in itself kind-of cool. When I started college, they wanted a high school transcript, of course. I set one up, with the classes I had taken and the grades I had gotten, and my mom and I both signed off for its validity. I even ended up getting extra grant money for completing a 'rigorous course of college preparatory classes.'
What is it with people being homeschooled, finishing, and getting their GED? I was homeschooled and still got a diploma. And a graduation. Why get your GED if you deserve a diploma?

Some high schools don't allow students over 21. Good luck with that, and I mean it sincerely, cause that sucks.
You should ahve investigated it earlier tbh... I mean, how can you not know it? Were there more people in that school anyway?
