Now at least you've got a proper reason to be depressed for.
1. Putting on a bit of weight is not a "proper reason to be depressed" unless it's a health risk, and even then it can be helped without any delvings into mental illness. 2. Depression doesn't need a "proper reason", that's why it's an illness and not a normal or desirable response to daily life.
Well. That's unfortunate. I'm sorry that you have an eating disorder. I'm sure that you're a beautiful, smart, amazing woman. You don't need to hurt yourself with an eating disorder, you've got a whole life ahead of you. As for depression goes, I hope that your depression goes away, and the cause for why you're depressed as well. I'm not much of a churchy person, but maybe you can turn to God? A lot of people that I know who have had big issues like that have turned to Him and they're lives changed for the better in such amazing ways. I hope things work out okay for you.
I don't think this comment deserves all the thumbs downs it's getting. I'm an atheist but I'm sure turning to religion can help some people out of bad places, and it's probably helped a few get some hope when they had none... and if that's the case, why not?
No, KaySL. I am not trolling. I actually meant what I said.
Ask for a psychological treatment for your depression, like CBT. When I had Anorexia and Bulimia, the CBT helped my eating disorders and my depression.
Same here! Cognitive behavioral therapy really helps. That plus being on medication for a few months made me a lot better.
If you think you are fat you could STILL just think you're fat right now (just because it says it COULD cause you to gain weight, doesn't mean you really do). On the other hand: the medicine is just a support. And this one clearly doesn't help you, so ask for different medication, or another therapy (there a many ways to go). I'm sure you can make it
OP shouldn't sue it's not the doctor's fault it's the medication. That's all people seem to want to do is sue! Ask to change to another one that inhibits weight loss. Your doctor should know which ones do what with weight gain/loss. Otherwise do some research yourself and take a list of ones that encourage weight loss and see if they are right for you. (not every medication works on every person) Get exercising as this will help your weight loss and exercising helps release endorphins! Good Luck losing weight is a lot harder than putting it on unfortunately.
I think, with an eating disorder she should't get medication that ake her lose weight. That she says she's fat doesn't really proof it, since she even said herself, she constantly thinks she is. She might just have gained a few pound, but she probably also needed those.
Yeah that is true but you don't want to be on a medication that makes you gain weight if you can be on one that doesn't make you gain or lose weight.
You need a new medication. Do not go off it before you talk to your doctor, you need to wean yourself off the pills or you will hurt yourself--they mess with brain chemistry. I gained twenty pounds on my depression medication and I switched to another one. You need to fix the problem--your eating disorder--as well as being on meds. They might make you feel better but true happiness comes from within.
Lol, that's really depressing to hear!!
Must be hard for you OP, struggling with an eating disorder is one thing, but depression as well? Must be a struggle, especially with the weight gain. Stay on the meds if you can until you see your doctor, then ask him for some new ones that won't make you gain. Good luck, love.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but usually, those two go hand in hand. You can definitely have depression without an eating disorder, but I imagine it to be quite hard to have an eating disorder without depression.
Her husky did what?

Show it anywayI assume you've never been through depression #59. Until you do, I suggest you keep comments like that to yourself. It'll piss a lot of people off.
i would be depressed if I looked like a douchebag from jersey shore.

Yeah, but jolly fat people are better than sad fat people! Seriously, though, go to a specialist on eating disorders. You're aware you have one, aware you need help.. Now get the help, if you can afford it. Otherwise, talk to your doctor. There's different meds you can try, and differrnt methods. Exercise can help your depression, and it MIGHT help your self-image.
That's ****** up
