Today, I gave a group presentation. Because I didn't know the last names of my group members, I'd put fake ones in, intending to replace them later. I forgot to change them and I ended up giving a presentation alongside a very angry Greg Penishead and Josh Acne. FML

Today, I had a big presentation at work and I was feeling really confident. I'd practiced it over and over and I knew it inside out. But when I got up to speak, I realized I had left my notes at home. I ended up winging it and it was a disaster. FML

Today, I had to give a presentation at school about King Richard III. I realized too late that someone had changed his name to "King Dick" on all the slides. My little sister later broke into hysterics and confessed this had been her April Fool's prank. FML

Today, I had to give a presentation on ancient civilizations. As a joke, my friend dared me to do the whole thing using puppets, which I thought it would be hilarious. Halfway through, I noticed the look on my professor's face and my classmates giggling. My professor has a phobia of puppets and I was the only one unaware of this fact. FML

Okay, even if this was a temporary thing that you were going to change... If these people aren't ones you know well enough to know their last names, why do you think it would be okay to give them ridiculous last names? They may not be too happy about that if you're not close and it might have ended badly even if you did change it before the presentation, but they happened to see it before.

I can't see any point of this that isn't a YDI, to be honest. If they made you do all the work and that is why you gave them such cruel fake names, it would have been more productive to inform the teacher or superior that their lack of contribution was a problem. But really, why in the universe would you give them names about things they are likely already self conscious of? This sounds like you were being an asshole and are embarrassed you got caught being said asshole.

If you can't remember last names, that's fine, I meet a lot of people daily, and don't remember their names, but forgetting to delete the fake names means you either got problems with memory, or with common sense, so you deserve it, let it be a lesson, maybe next time you'll remember
