Today, I gave the option to my boyfriend of 5 years to either quit World of Warcraft of lose me. He said WOW makes him happier. FML

Sooo stupid. That's why i ended it with my ex, that's all he did. And when i wanted to talk or hang out it was all like "sorry, busy. WoW baby." I gave him the choice and he's like "It's hard, i can't quit." And i'm like fine. Byeee. Lol, arrrh stupid game,

lol, in my opinion, the mark of a really caring partner is trying to be interested in what he's interested in. i started playing wow for my bf, and now i'm more into it than he is. she shoulda tried it before she freaked out, :P

thank god you didnt spend another molment with that pathetic ****. i mean i'm a geek. i love MTG and love all games but if i got to the point where it would interfiere with a relationship it would be time to cut down or stop. be glad your not with him now.

Why can't he have both? My boyfriends was really into WoW, so I started playing too. Now I still play even though he is my ex. :p Gamer girls FTW.

tip; don't date gamers. Problem solved :) "Oh Haii boyfran Ima make you drop hobbies and you'll do it if you love maii." they don't love girls that much : /

You're definitely better off without him! You're either too demanding, not letting him play WoW as a hobby.. or he is addicted and you need to find someone who puts you before a video game. My boyfriend plays as well so I know it can be annoying to put up with.

WoW is better. It doesn't matter who you are.

Why would you EVER make a guy chose between you and a game? He is allowed to have a life apart from his girlfriend ya know. My guy's a gamer too and guess what he get me AND the game. YDI for sure!

I don't want to read through all these comments but I'm sure many of them tell you that WoW and other MMORPGs really do make us happier. People who have never been addicted to them will never understand. But still, it was a 5 year relationship, so OP deserves some credit. Just don't take it personally because [MMORPGs > significant others] for a large portion of players, not just you.
