Welcome to my life!!! On the television, there is a block that needs a password. Same goes for the DVD player. On the computer, I can't play games, go on sports websites, go shopping sites such as target or walgreens, go on funny sites with cartoons, and I can't play CD-rom games. FML.
Uhmmm sux yes and 13 is right
Just boot up in safe mode and change everything. OR You could Google "how to make yourself admin on vista or xp" which ever one you have. This really isn't an FYL it is just a unnecessary frustration
for those guys who keep saying download ____ to crack the pass... he CANT anyway, heres what you do, simply delete an important windows file, you may have to show the contents of local disk C, so that the computor cannot boot up tell your dad that the computor crapped out and you need to put windows back onto it he will take the CD and put it back up now theres a fork in the road: either A: hes too stupid to know how the replace the controls and locks and problem solved or B: he does, but now you know where the windows CD is.... BINGO, simply put the windows disk in your cd drive and reboot the computor from disk. Reformat the drive and reinstall windows YOUR way hope your dad does not notice, and be sure to make him an account or you could get a new hard drive and put windows on it.. THEN you could have both drives and download a pass cracking thing so you know your dads password that he PROBABLY uses for many other things. This way you can make his account admin with the same password and occasionally ask him to let you download something
Changing the settings of OP's dad might not be a good idea. You don't think he won't check the computer from time to time? If you wanted to do that you could just reinstall Windows... I'd go with the "linux on flash drive/Live CD" idea here. There are pretty good howtos on the web. If you aren't proficient with linux and don't want to learn, try Ubuntu, even my mum can use that. If you do, Slackware might be for you, or Gentoo, though portage kind of sucks. If you are proficient, you'll know best which distro is for you. There's even a window manager that looks just like XP, forgot the name though.
boot in safe mode. erase hard drive. reinstall windows. done.
yuck, my dad does that, i know how you feel..it sucks =[
My dad tried to do that on the computer I'm using now.

Just download tons of horse **** on his computer. When he asks why, tell him that for some reason, you couldn't download anything on yours so you used his instead. :D
How old are you?
