Today, I got a cross-country job promotion. I decided to plan my Going-Away-Forever party, and bought a pack of 100 invitations. After mailing them out to all my friends, I have 92 left. FML

8 close friends are better than 100 whatever friends!

So, post an invitation to your party on facebook, reddit, digg, and the like. Just call it something with a cool name, make it have some type of thing like "worlds biggest pillow fight to take place afterward" and you'll have a large going away bash that will be memorable - and your 8 friends will think your really popular :D

HAHA YOU FAIL, Oh wait I'd have the same situation. :(

Only 8 friends? I have only one and she's my sister ;_;

No-one has 100 "friends", no matter what some idiots might insist. If they're true friends you'll stay friends with when you move you have more than most!

If those 8 are your closest friends, then it's awesome.

That guy has it better than me. I think I only have about 4 really good friends. I include one as my sister.

100 invitations? a party with 100 people is more like a riot than a party - just have a nice close dinner or night in with them! Celebrate!

I think the pack could be used for more than one party. Like, in case this person may throw multiple parties over the next few years...

seriously if you have eight actual really good solid friends, that's a lot. are you still in school? if so, you'll find once you get out people weed themselves out of your life VERY quickly, and the ones that stick around are all that's worth having. that said, i don't see why you'd buy SO many cards. you had to have had some kind of ballpark idea of how many people you'd be inviting... i wouldn't say f your life or you deserve it, there's really nothing wrong here.

Why would you buy 100 invitations? Nobody has that many friends (despite what your Facebook account may say; admit it, you don't know who most of those people are at all). If you were inviting employees to a company picnic maybe, but for a small personal party? 100 people would be nuts anyway.

I had a high school with 3500 people, i definitely have over 100 people i could invite to a party.
