Man, I'm speaking AS a girl nerd here, and I STILL think that's creepy. I'm sorry, but any guy that I've never talked to before suddenly saying to me "I've done the calculations and you're my perfect mate" is going to freak me right the **** out. Thumbs down, if you must, but I've had too many experiences with guys who think that their decision to pursue me automatically means I have to date them in return. I've dated plenty of nerds who told me they liked me in socially awkward ways... but none of those ways were creepy. This IS. Get over it, everyone.

While I am inclined to agree with you in the few respects that you stated, I still think it is unfair to call him a creep. What he said WAS creepy, but it may be his way of telling OP that he has feelings for her. Signing him off as a creep or freak just makes a person look like a dick. Or bitch.

He's clearly lacking in some social skills or knowledge thereof, but unless he's actually a creep, either let him down gently, talk to him some more, or flat-out try a date. Nerds are awesome, some of us are just very socially awkward.
