Contrary to popular belief, herpes can spread while you are using a condom. It's not only the mixture of bodily fluids that will spread the virus. If you have a herpes blister and it touches someone else's skin, the chance they will contract the virus is still there. That's why when someone has an outbreak they need to be extra careful to wash their hands after they use the toilet, and avoid touching people whenever possible when they haven't washed their hands. Hsv is a cold-sore. Just like how you can get cold sores from sharing drinks/Chapstick with people. Most people you know have HSV type 1, which is oral cold sores. HSV type 2 is also very common, it's the exact same thing, except down under. Research and educate yourselves, yes herpes has no cure, but it's non life-threatening, and really not that big of a deal. Anyone can get it, even virgins, so you don't have to be a dirty person to contract it. I contracted it from an ex boyfriend that I blindly trusted when he said he was clean.
