Was it a parking ticket or was it for a "No Standing" issue? There are plenty of places (bus stops for example) where not only can't one park, one can't even leave the car there for longer than it takes to let someone into or out of the car. Of course, if you were asleep in the car then YDI.

I thought they could not issue a parking ticket with someone in the car. They have to talk to the driver. Or in my area they have too.
