Today, I got a red light camera ticket for $100 in the mail. After checking the date and time, I realized it was from when I was rear ended into the intersection while STOPPED at a red light. FML

Hah, ouch. Good luck getting out of that one. If there was police involvement when you got rear-ended it shouldn't be hard.

Can I be the one to point out the lack of commen sense the OP has? It's not like the people that sift through the camera's data know you got into an accident. Bring in the report and ticket, the ticket should disappear faster then a man required to make child support payments.

The picture would show this but that doesn't mean he won't get a ticket. They probably don't look at every picture and even if - he either pays hundred bucks or not. Nothing lost, everything won...

all you have to do is explain that you were rearended, its not that hard a concept.

I really wonder how many people get rear-ended every day. A lot of FML's are about this subject!

that sucks. but at least yer ticket was only 100 bucks. mine is 480, and if I want to take Traffic School 9 which Im gonna do) its 520.

WTF are you whining about? Take the damn ticket to wherever it is supposed to be paid and take the police report along with you to show what happened! if you are old enough to own a car you should be old enough to use you effin brain!

This is fake. Indiana does not have traffic cameras.

even though you can fight it, that still a huge pain. FYL indeed

That sucks. If you have the police report from your rear-ending, fight it. If not...you might be screwed. But it's nothing like the $300 ticket my dad had to pay when my brother ran a camera red light in my brother's own car... But the car was co-registered to my dad and my brother and my dad's name came first alphabetically. And even though it was *clearly* my brother in the picture, and my brother did pay the ticket... Still went on my dad's driving record. So see, it could be worse.
